The son of Angus the 8th of Dunvegan, imported from Scotland was an extremely long bull who was a great representative of Scottish character. Genesis’ dam is Black Watch Portia, a fancy silver cow that was shown extensively, Genesis was 70 lbs. at birth, 725 lbs. at one year old, 1,145 lbs. at two years old and weighs 1950 lbs. at 48 months. This is on a grass-fed beef producing operation; not a show fed bull. His 2020-22 calf birth weight averages were 67 lbs. His calves are extremely square with good feet and legs and tons of Scottish character. Extremely docile, he scores a 1 on the docility scale (1 is the top ranking). WL Jaguar (ET,D)
WL Jaguar is as cool and collected as you can find in a bull. He is super docile, halter broke and easily leads from pasture at the site of a bucket. His sire, Finley Falls Duncan, won the Champion Bull at more than 10 shows in a row. He is the only bull to win the NWSS (Denver) as the Champion Bull two years in a row. His dam is a tremendous cow, Schon Boden's Josie, who weighs 1,495 lbs. at 13 years old. Josie is an American Highland Cattle Association (AHCA) Impact Dam. WL Lincoln was the 2024 AHCA National Show Senior Bull Calf Champion, North Central Highland Cattle Show Senior Bull Calf Champion (Sept 2023) and the Dr. David DeMuth Husker Classic Senior Bull Calf Champion (Oct 2023). Born Sept 12, 2023, his yearling weight was 875 lbs. He is a son of the famous Jock of Glengorm. Lincoln's mother is an extremely long-cow, with a really good hip. Gray Owl's Britta is the full sibling to Gray Owl's Bearach, who was shown extensively. Bearach was the 2013 Senior Bull Champion at the National Western Stock Show and placed in the top of his class at several other shows in 2012 and 2013. Britta is extremely long and wide. Her sire, GH Mr. Chips, was from Glen Haven Farms, which bred great cattle and show genetics. Britta's dam comes from JAR breeding, which is very difficult to find today anywhere in the USA. Most of the JAR cattle are old genetics influenced from direct Scottish and Canadian imports.
2024 AHCA National Show Stats at 16 months old:
40 cm scrotal, 14.3 REA, 1,180 lbs.
To add some perspective, he was the fastest growing bull in his age group with a scrotal 5 cms. larger and a weight of 180 lbs. larger the second largest bulls. He was tied for the fourth largest scrotal at the show, even with their being 12 bulls older than him at the show.
